Today I had the honor of throwing a baby shower for a dear friend of mine, Britt. Our house is starting to get a little chaotic with the impending move, so Rob’s sister was kind enough to offer her house for the event. Britt and her partner have opted to wait to find out the sex of the baby, so I had to think of a fun gender neutral theme. After looking for some inspiration on Pinterest, I landed on the storybook theme. I had so much fun looking through books and thinking of ideas.
Since the shower was coed, I chose not to include any baby shower games, but thought it would be fun to do a crafty kind of activity. I found these these awesome wooden letters on A Charmed Nest and thought we could paint them! The letters were such good quality. I loved that they were all different sizes and fonts. They all turned out really cool and look great together!
I was very happy with the way all the food turned out! It was so fun to pair the different food with books that my daughter and I love. My favorite was “the bowl full of mush” from Goodnight Moon.
Of course, in our circle, it’s not a baby shower without booze, so we had some Pinkalicious punch,
I decided to frame this print from Etsy and have everyone sign it like a guestbook. I chose a print that went with the storybook theme and also went with the color scheme.
This was probably the most fun I’ve ever had putting a party together. It ended up being a really fun day. I’m so grateful that I got to do this for Britt before I moved. I’m going to miss her and her sweet family so much!
