Our Family

Our family story began when Rob and I met 4 years ago as environmental activists. I was visiting Fort Collins for 3 weeks, we met and fell in love, and I went back to Dallas long enough to pack up my car and move right back. We had Clare a little more than a year later!

I’m Sharon! I’ve been a stay-at-home mommy/part-time preschool teacher for the last 2 years. Before that, I worked with various environmental non-profits. I love crafting, coming up with fun stuff to do with my daughter, cooking and baking, learning about sustainability, and decorating. I’m also the Broadway star of my living room thanks to my showtunes Pandora station. I play guitar terribly and sometimes inflict my playing on my friends around the fire pit in the backyard. I will never turn down a delicious craft beer, but prefer a frozen margarita!

This is Rob. He’s the cutest guy in the world! He’s super smart and pretty quiet, but loves puns and other terrible jokes. He would do anything for his friends and family, and has been known to drop everything to help out a loved one. He lives in flannel and loves barbecue sauce. Rob has also been vegetarian for many years and is a super-environmentalist. I love him a lot!

This is Clare, the sweetest, happiest little girl I’ve ever met. She loves Elmo, painting, and all animals. She’s really, really funny and is usually wearing a tutu. Her favorite foods are cheese and avocados. Clare has hemiplegia, a type of cerebral palsy, but she doesn’t let it slow her down in the least bit. She is always working hard with her physical therapist and constantly improving!

As a family, we are constantly trying to eat healthy, organic foods and reduce our carbon footprint. Living green makes us happy! We love to go on bike rides together, spend time with friends, and see live music whenever possible!
